I can also supply a cute little pet bed for your rock portrait. See Pricing page for details.
Traditional Pet Portraits
Stone and Canvas Portraits
Traditional style pet portraits are painted in acrylics on mount board, although I do occasionally experiment with watercolour, coloured pencils and pastels. I use mount board as the smooth surface enables more fine detail when painting the portrait and it can then be framed. Please allow 3-4 weeks for your portrait to be completed. If you have a deadline I will do my best to accommodate but it does depend on orders I have at the time. If time is an issue, I offer a Gift Box as an alternative. Please see the pricing page for details on the Gift Boxes, portrait sizes and options.
The pet portraits are painted from your photos so it is important to have good, clear, close up shots of your pet. The better the photo the better the portrait. Check out my Tips page for some helpful hints on what makes the perfect portrait shot.
Rock portraits are painted in acrylics on Australian river rocks. I purchase all of my rocks from a local landscaping supplier and do not take them from creeks or rivers. The rocks vary in size but usually the custom rock portraits range from around 10-13cm. My pricing page has more detail on sizes and costing. Please allow at least 3-4 weeks for your rock portrait to be completed. Gift Boxes are available if time is an issue and I can't get your portrait finished in time. See the pricing page for details.
As with the traditional portraits, rock portraits are painted from your photos so again, I need a really good photo of your pet. I will need some full body shots as well so I can see markings and colouring.
